"Designing for a mother celebrating her child’s first birthday is never just about creating a beautiful outfit — it’s about translating emotion into something timeless she can wear and remember forever. For this look, every detail was chosen with intention; the softness of the color palette reflected the tenderness of new motherhood, while the contrasting tones added the joy, celebration, and warmth such a milestone deserves. From the graceful flow of the lehenga to the delicate embroidery, the goal was to create something that would feel elegant yet deeply personal to her journey as a first-time boy mum. Moments like these are why thoughtful custom design matters so much to me — because the right outfit doesn’t just complement the occasion, it becomes part of the memory itself."

The Design

Colour
Yellow brings warmth into the piece. Powder blue settles it. Gold embroidery moves quietly across both. The palette feels clear. Joy, held in balance.

Embroidery
Zardosi, dabka, and nakshi form across the surface. Beading and sequins catch light through movement. Motifs remain spaced. Detail feels intentional. Nothing pulls attention away from her.

Silhouette
The kameez defines the upper form. The lehenga opens through soft volume below. Structure holds as she moves. The shape remains consistent. Uninterrupted.

Fabric
Silk forms the foundation. It supports both structure and movement. Internal cancan holds the lehenga in place. The dupatta moves lightly across the frame. The piece remains composed.
